And then there were 3!
In an effort to decrease the enormous burden on our grooming staff, the club authorized and purchased a third Bombardier BR-160. Instead of spending upwards of 10 hours a shift on the trail, we should now be able to cover trail sections in under 6 hours. Two machines will live at the current location on Westman road. One will cover from Westman Road to Greenhurst and Gerry (Kimball Stand), and the other will cover from Westman Road to Bemus and on to the Kiosk (Maring Road) in Stockton. The third machine will live in Stockton and will be used to cover from the Kiosk (Maring Road) to Stockton, up Lord Road, and then along the railbed to Gerry. We hope this improvement can not only be seen along the trail, but also helps to attract new grooming operators in the future.
